Chilita graduated from University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice, Slovakia in 2018 and hold a keen interest in exotic animal medicine and wildlife rehabilitation.
Originally from Hong Kong, Chilita moved to the UK in 2018 to begin their journey as a small animal vet. They have published in the following: The Effect of Temperature on the Course and Quality of Anaesthesia of Reptiles (2017)
Outside of work, Chilita has 3 Cemani chickens named Deino, Enyo and Pemphredo, 1 trinidad chevron tarantula named Djinni (Psalmopoeus cambridgei), 1 orchid mantis (Hymenopus coronatus), several species of pet roaches and 3 glass frogs (Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni). But their pride and joy are their electric blue geckos (Lygodactylus williamsi), which they have been keeping and breeding since 2013.
In Hong Kong they have 5 red eared sliders(Trachemys scripta elegans), the oldest one they have owned since 6 years old, now safely being cared for by Chilitas parents!
Chilita also enjoys crocheting, drawing, making vivariums, keeping houseplants and baking for colleagues from time to time.
