Meet Alison Wise

PgC SAS
Small Animal Vet

Alison graduated from Nottingham Vet school in summer 2013. After a summer of working with a mixed vet in Tanzania she took a position in a local companion animal practice where she has gained a wide variety of experience in routine and emergency veterinary work.

She particularly enjoys all surgery, including laparoscopic (key hole) surgery and has completed a post graduate certificate in small animal surgery (PgC SAS). Alison’s very passionate about rabbit and small mammal welfare and has spent time developing an interest in medicine and surgery of these species. She is a strong advocate for creating a positive experience for pet and owner alike. With a keen interest in wildlife medicine, she can often be found rehabilitating and hand rearing vulnerable wildlife.

When not in work, Alison loves to be outside, be that spending time with her 5 rescue rabbits, trekking up the nearest hill with her 2 dogs Misty and Ted, open water swimming, canoeing to the pub or nurturing her veg in the garden. She also loves to dance and knit with her home spun wool. With multiple rescue chickens alongside the dogs and rabbits and a constant stream of DIY projects, she never stops!
