Mastering Medicines

We are running a series of ‘Mastering Medicines’ courses over the coming months. These courses are a one stop run through of all things veterinary medicines related.

Attendance will comply with the new Red Tractor recommendations for farm staff involved with the administration of veterinary medicines to have attended a course on the appropriate use of these products.


Separate sessions are being run for dairy clients and for beef/sheep clients and will be run at our Markeaton practice on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 15th August
  • Wednesday 22nd August
  • Wednesday 10th October

For all of these dates, the times of the sessions will be:

  • Dairy: 10am -12:30pm
  • Beef & Sheep: 2pm-4:30pm

Book Your Place

The cost of these meetings is £35pp (ex VAT), with additional team members attending the same session to be charged at £10pp (ex VAT).

Places are limited so book fast to reserve your spot!

First Aid For The Smallholder

Can you sort the problem yourself or is it time to call us?

Learn when a vet is needed and what to do if it is a simpler issue at our interactive first aid event for smallholders.

Free for smallholder club members. £5 for everyone else.

Alpaca Blood Donation Session

Be prepared for the next birthing season!

Ensure you have a store of plasma. Attend our alpaca blood donation session on Monday 12th November 2018 to build your own store of plasma for your own herd.

Donation Criteria

  • Non-pregnant
  • Non-lactating (so no cria at foot)
  • Over 50kg (fully grown)
  • No history of illness
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted 3 weeks prior to donation

  • Wednesday 21st November 2018
  • Presented by Emily Payne (Nottingham Vet School Dairy Herd Health Resident)


  • £75 plus VAT for each day
  • £210 plus VAT for all three modules
