Managing the lame horse requires a multi-factorial approach to treatment. We believe in working very closely with paraprofessionals including e.g. your farrier, chartered physiotherapist, saddler and instructor. Working together with these people offers the best chance of a successful outcome and a suitable rehabilitation programme. It is essential that a correct diagnosis is reached then appropriate treatment initiated. Treatments for lameness offered at the practice include:
- Joint medications
- Arthroscopy (key hole surgery) and other surgical treatments
- Stem Cell Therapy
- Equidronate therapy
- Shockwave therapy
