Each month we find out a little about a member of our team. This month we ask Kate Urwin, Veterinary Surgeon based at Oakwood and Pride Veterinary Centre about her work and home life
When did you start working for Scarsdale Vets?
Back in August 2017, so I’m still a relatively new face around the practices!
What does your job entail on a day to day basis?
I’m a Small Animal Vet so my days tend to centre around either consulting or surgery. I split my time between Pride Veterinary Centre and our Oakwood branch which means no two days are ever the same!
What do you love the most about working at Scarsdale Vets?
I love my days at Oakwood because I regularly get to see the same clients; watching kittens grow up, helping owners manage long term conditions and making four legged friends for life.
When you are not at work, tell us a little bit about what else you do?
If I’m not at work you’ll usually find me on the river. I row twice a week and hope to race soon… so look out for me in the Tokyo Olympics!
