Join us on Saturday November 11th when we will be running a React To Colic event in conjunction with the University of Nottingham and the British Horse Society’s ‘React’ campaign.
We will be running 3 small group interactive sessions packed in to one informative afternoon (2-4pm). Tickets costs just £5/person.
Session 1 – Worming and Colic
Charlotte Stanley BVSc MRCVS presents our first session ‘worming and colic’. She will discuss parasites that are associated with colic episodes, new evidence in the battle against worms and how to reduce your risk of colic through parasite control, including the correct dosing of worming products.
Session 2 – Colic Prevention
Kate Southorn BVSc MRCVS will focus on factors which increase your horse’s risk of colic and how to reduce the risk. These include simple management changes and identifying subtle changes in your horse which can predict colic episodes.
Session 3 – ‘My Horse Has Colic’
Rhiannah de Carteret BVSc MRCVS will cover different presentations of colic, what to do when a horse colics, when to call the vet and what to expect once the vet arrives.
