Since August 2021, Scarsdale Vets have supported Support Dogs, a charity instrumental in providing support dogs for people with various medical conditions.
The charitable collaboration has meant that Scarsdale Vets have since raised over £1000 through a hybrid of events and donations to the cause. Since August 2021, Scarsdale Vets have organised a Woofs & Walkies Charity Dog Walk, a Dog and Donut Day and a Pet First Aid Talk and look forward to announcing more events in 2022.
On Wednesday 3rd November, Marketing Executive, Elisha Wade, travelled to Support Dogs’ headquarters based in Sheffield to present a large set of weighing scales to the Chris Daykin, Corporate Partnerships Manager and the Support Dogs training team. The scales will be used to weigh dogs who are going through their crucial training with Support Dogs.
The gift forms part of a wider charitable initiative in which Scarsdale Vets aim to support Support Dogs through raising money.
Hosted by the High Sheriff of South Yorkshire and the Deputy Master and Mistress Cutler, Scarsdale Vets were also invited to attend the Support Dogs Charity Reception Showcase Reception held at Kenwood Hall Hotel and Spa. The event which took place on Friday 5th November, provided the opportunity to meet the Support Dogs team, trainers and see some wonderful dogs in action.
Susan Wilkinson, Marketing Manager explains: ‘Providing Support Dogs with a much-needed set of large scales was our pleasure. Since August 2021, we have supported our annual chosen charity, raising in excess of £1000 pounds for the charity. We continue our charitable efforts in raising money for this incredible charity and look forward to future events planned.’
Each year, Scarsdale Vets choses to support a different charity. Established in 1945, Scarsdale Vets have raised thousands of pounds for various charities and believe that continued charitable support is important.
