Last August, the day before his owners were about to go on holiday (with Nick Nack), Nick Nack was brought in to our Duffield practice with a bad limp. After a full examination, a cranial cruciate (knee ligament) rupture was suspected.
An appointment was made immediately for Nick Nack to see one of our Orthopaedic Specialists over at Pride Veterinary Centre. Radiographs confirmed the ligament damage and indicated the most appropriate surgical action, in the space of 30 minutes we arranged Nick Nack’s primary care, specialist referral and found space for him to stay with us in our hospital and boarding facilty so he could start his rehabilitation.
His family went off on holiday and had 2 weeks away before returning to collect a happy Nick Nack!
