Marie Rippingale

Head Equine Nurse
Marie graduated from The Nottingham Trent University in 2005 with a First Class Honours Degree in Equine Sports Science; during her year out in this degree Marie worked on the nursing team at the practice. On graduation Marie returned to the practice and went on to qualify as an Equine Veterinary Nurse (EVN – with Merit) in 2007, the same year she became Head Equine Nurse. She is a Qualified Clinical Coach and qualified as a G-SQP in 2009.
Marie has gained the Diploma in Higher Education Clinical Nursing Veterinary Nursing with Distinction (Dip HE CVN) and the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing with Distinction (Dip AVN). She and two other students are the first equine students to undertake this course.
Marie teaches nursing students on the equine part of their course for Bottle Green Training and the final veterinary students that attend the practice. Marie also gives equine nursing presentations at the XLVets CPD events.
Marie’s special interests include foal nursing, radiography and anaesthesia. Out of work Marie enjoys riding and looking after her horse Chaplin.
